Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona (HFHCAZ) builds in over 11 cities across the valley from Apache Junction to Surprise. HFHCAZ builds primarily single family detached homes both on infill properties and in community settings. Other types of construction include townhomes and renovation projects.

 

Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona Home Facts:

  • HFHCAZ meets or exceeds the national standards of the for-profit building community.
  • HFHCAZ builds to meet or exceed Energy Star standards.
  • All HFHCAZ homes are between three and five bedrooms with a minimum of two bathrooms; our town homes are two stories and are between two and four bedrooms.
  • The average costs of the homes range between $110,000 and $185,000; well below the average values of the homes (costs are subject to change without notice).
  • Volunteers and future homeowners partner on Habitat homes to do the carpentry, roofing, siding, interior trim, painting, and landscaping. Habitat usually hires subcontractors for the site and foundation work, HVAC and stucco.
  • The homes reflect the style of the neighborhood in which they are built.
